THE ART OF RECEIVING
As someone who naturally gives, I've had to learn that receiving is just as sacred-and sometimes much harder.
When we pour ourselves into our purpose, when our work becomes our devotion and mission, it can feel vulnerable to let others reflect back to us what they see. There's a part of me that used to deflect compliments or worry about being liked, caught up in people-pleasing patterns that kept me small.
But this work-this path of helping women step into their power through samba, through movement, through the mastery of life itself-is bigger than being liked. It's about purpose. It's about opening pathways so we can all stand in our truth.
Sometimes that truth isn't always understood.
Sometimes it creates reactions in others that I had to learn not to take personally. But when someone truly sees you, when they witness your devotion and reflect it back with such love and clarity-that's a gift that deserves to be received fully.
When our work is our life, when it's woven into the fabric of who we are, receiving recognition for it touches something deeper than accomplishment-it touches our soul's purpose.
To everyone who gives deeply: practice receiving. Let people see you. Let them celebrate you. Let their words land in your heart instead of bouncing off your armor.
Our capacity to receive is directly related to our capacity to give.
When we receive fully, we refill the well from which we pour.
What gift is waiting for you to open your hands to?
